India was in terrible form before this year's World Cup final. They did not lose a single match in the race to reach the title decider. Going to the final and losing badly to Australia. The country's former cricketer Mohammad Kaif is surprised that India could not win the title despite the poor form, he cannot accept it. That's why he was punched by World Cup winning Aussie opener David Warner.

Australia defeated India by 6 wickets in the World Cup final on November 19. India were all out for 240 runs in the allotted 50 overs by batting earlier. Travis Head's century and Marnus Labuchen's unbeaten innings to chase Australia won by an innings. Although at one stage they lost 3 wickets for 43 runs.

In an interview to Star Sports after India's loss against Ajid, Kaif said that he could not believe that India did not become champions. Kaif said, "I can't believe India, the best team in the world on paper, did not win this World Cup."

Warner responded to this on the X account. He wrote, 'I respect Kaif. The truth is that who is better on paper is not a big deal. Whoever wins the final is the best. It applies to everyone.'

Australian commentator Glenn Mitchell also supported Warner. He said, "Mohammad Kaif should understand that the best team is not judged on paper, it is judged on the field."
