They were involved in an argument over beef.

A father lost his life in Lohagara of Chittagong due to his daughter's complaint.

The incident took place in Joom Para of South Saraiya Boli, Ward No. 9 of Putibila Union of Upazila on Friday.

The name of the deceased is Abdur Rahman (50). His daughter Humaira Begum, 20, was arrested by the police.

SI Satyajit Bhowmik of Lohagara police station told bdnews24.com that the murder occurred due to a quarrel between the father and daughter over feeding the cow with bhushi.

“Humaira lives at her father's house as she is not living with her husband. He kept a cow there. In the morning, when Humaira gave the cow bhushi to eat, Baba Rahman asked her to give grass instead. An argument started between the two people.

"At one point, Humaiya slapped her father on the hands and throat. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and was declared brought dead by the doctors.”

SI Satyajit said that Humaira has been arrested in this incident.
