The horror of BNP's brutality haunts them even today

Victims of BNP arson in 2013, 14 and 15 are still haunted by the horror of that brutality. Some have lost their husbands and children, some have lost their parents, brothers and sisters. Someone lost his precious face. The victims said that ordinary people are not burnt to death anywhere in the world in the name of politics. But BNP-Jamaat is doing that politics in Bangladesh in the name of movement.

On Sunday (December 3), an organization called 'Fire Terror's Cry' organized a human chain to 'protest the burning of BNP-Jamaat people and demand justice' at the central Shaheed Minar of the capital.

In 2015, Mashruha and her family were victims of a petrol bomb attack. A 15-year-old girl and her husband were burnt in front of their eyes. 8 years have passed since then. But the horror of that brutality still haunts him.

Mashruha Begum, who lost her husband and child in the petrol bomb, said, "In 2015, I was going by bus with my husband and lap child Maisha Nahian. A moving bus was hit by a petrol bomb and caught fire. My husband pushed me out of the window. But I lost my husband and child in front of my eyes. My living is like a nightmare, what is it called living?'

He said, "We don't do any politics, we don't understand politics. What was the crime of my husband, what was the crime of my child. Why did they have to die in the fire of politics? Even after 8 years, I did not get justice for the murder of my husband and children. Don't burn people alive like this, don't kill families like this.'

On January 23, 2014, Salahuddin Bhuiyan was the victim of a petrol bomb attack in Konapara, Jatrabari. Various parts of his body including his face get burnt.

Salahuddin said, 'They are creating this anarchy again in 2023 because there is no justice. They have the right to do politics, but who gave them the right to burn people and cars?

Not only Mashruha or Salahuddin, like them, half a hundred victims gathered at Shaheed Minar from all over the country. Zamir Ali, Zahedul Islam, Thakurgaon's Rafiq, advocate Khadija Nasreen, Member of Parliament for reserved women's seat, Runi Begum, mother of deceased Nahid, Awami League Central Committee member Anwar Hossain spoke in the human chain. The question for all of them - 'Who sees humanity in this violence of BNP?'

The relatives of the deceased and the victims said that they are the ones who suddenly lost their relatives; All those who have survived from the clutches of fire-terror are like living corpses.

General Secretary of National Press Club Shyamal Dutta said, if those involved in fire-terrorism are arrested; There is also another organization to demand their release. If the culprits had been tried in the past, the same incident would not have happened again. He demanded to make a new law in the future to stop arson.

Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Akhtaruzzaman in 2013-14 identified Jamaat-BNP terrorists and demanded punishment according to the existing law.

In the speech of the chief guest, Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud said that in 2013-14 Khaleda Zia and now Tarek Zia led this fire-terrorism. Some make statements to negotiate with them. But you can't negotiate with terrorists. We are determined to eliminate them. If we can form a government by popular vote, we are determined to eliminate the last arsonist. Peace cannot be established in the country unless they are eliminated.

Hasan Mahmud said that those who do the politics of burning people are enemies of the country, nation and society. The killing is going on with the money, order and support of BNP-Jamaat leaders. If they are not prosecuted, this fire-terrorism will not stop.
