   Bangladesh Bank JD injured 2 in farmgate cocktail explosion

Bangladesh Bank's Joint Director (JD) Emdadul Haque Khan (56) and Summit Group Engineer Nazmus Shahadat Alam (38) were injured in a cocktail explosion by the protesters at Farmgate in the capital.

The incident took place in front of Farmview Supermarket on Saturday (December 2) evening. Around 9 pm they were taken to Dhaka Medical College (DHMC) Hospital for treatment.

The injured said that their house is in Mohammadpur Salimullah Road. In the evening, after finishing work at the caravan market, the two headed home on a motorcycle. On the way there were two consecutive explosions next to them on the road in front of Farmview Market in Farmgate. It hurts their body. The people around rescued them and first took them to Al-Raji Hospital. From there they were taken to Dubai at night for better treatment.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Police Station Apoorba Hasan said that two people were injured in the cocktail explosion in front of the market. Police are working to get the details.
