According to the election rules, after the announcement of the schedule, any advance election campaign is prohibited except on the date and schedule announced by the Election Commission. On Wednesday (November 29) around 10:30 a.m., the president of the school, Delwar Hossain, gathered the students in a room of the high school and asked for votes in a boat. Asks to convey his message to the parents.

Delwar Hossain also broadcasted the matter in a video post from his Facebook ID. In the 4 minutes and 17 seconds video, Delwar Hossain Kadirdi went to a classroom of Bimukhi High School and asked the students to vote for their parents for the Awami League nominated candidate. Called to vote for boat candidate to be elected as MP.

After the video went viral on Facebook, there was a storm of criticism. Conscious circles have complained that directly asking for votes from school students is a violation of code of conduct. Besides, they also raised the question that how reasonable it is to conduct election campaigns among students who are not yet voters.

As per the statutory rules of the Election Commission, there is no scope for early voting campaigns. Scheduled dates and times are fixed for campaigns. There is only an opportunity to conduct election campaigns within the specified period.

When asked about this, Faridpur District Returning Officer and District Commissioner Md. Kamrul Ahsan Talukder said that if any written complaint is received regarding the election, necessary action will be taken according to the law. No one will be allowed to do anything against the law.
