English all-rounder Ben Stokes of Chennai Super Kings will not be seen in the next IPL. He withdrew himself from the 2024 season to reduce workload. Chennai has given this information in a statement on its website.

England will play a five-match Test series in India next year. T20 World Cup will be held in June. Stokes has withdrawn from the IPL for that. This all-rounder wants to regain fitness after handling pressure.

Moreover, Stokes is currently suffering from a knee injury. He will have to undergo an operation to recover from the injury. His aim is to recover quickly after the operation.

Chennai is yet to say whether Stokes will be dropped if he decides to pull out of the tournament. However, in the statement, they said that they are supportive of Stokes.

Incidentally, Stokes was picked up by Chennai for Rs 16.25 crore from the auction. However, he could not play the entire tournament due to injury. He scored 15 runs in 2 matches and was wicketless.
