Shakib Al Hasan, the captain of the Bangladesh cricket team, aspirant for nomination in the upcoming 12th national election, paid a courtesy call to the general secretary of the party, Obaidul Quader, at the Dhanmondi political office of Awami League.

Shakib went to Dhanmondi on Thursday (November 23) at 6 pm. He left after an hour. He had a discussion with Obaidul Quader at the Awami League office for about half an hour.

It is known that Shakib went to Dhanmondi office for nomination related reasons. Awami League's nomination form was bought by the world's best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan a few days ago. He bought nomination forms for three seats to be Awami League's candidate in the upcoming 12th National Parliament election. Nomination form has already been submitted.

Shakib bought nomination forms for Dhaka-10 and Magura-1 and 2 constituencies to participate in the 12th National Parliament Elections for Awami League. He collected this form on 18 November.

Rumors of Shakib's participation in the 11th National Assembly elections were also raised. However, he was not seen in the field of politics. However, another star cricketer of the national team, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, became a member of parliament by being elected from Narail-2 constituency.
